The Intuitive Artist is for the artist who knows there is more waiting beneath the surface of her work.
Why 12 weeks?
I chose 12 weeks intentionally because I want The Intuitive Artist to feel spacious rather than rushed, or like another course to “get through.”
The programme is designed around a two-week rhythm, with live calls every two weeks, giving you plenty of time for painting, integration and life in between.
This is a practice, and real change needs room. Time to experiment. Time to step away. Time to notice what is shifting. Time for the work to become part of how you live and create, rather than something you simply complete.
The twelve weeks is the container, not the workload. The spaciousness is part of the practice.
The Six Canvas Practice.
At the centre of the programme is The Six Canvas Practice.
Each month, you work with the same six canvases, returning to them again and again to add, change, layer, disrupt, respond and notice what happens as the work moves.
These paintings are not being created with any outcome so the pressure to protect begins to fall away. There is more freedom to experiment, take risks and notice the exact moment you try to control the work.
The six canvases are our shared practice and you are free to create other works alongside these throughout the course.

What’s involved across the 12 weeks
The Intuitive Artist runs online from Tuesday 1 September to Monday 23 November 2026.
Across the 12 weeks, you will be guided through three creative thresholds.
Month One: Clearing and Letting Go
Releasing some of the noise, pressure, attachment and control that can keep the work smaller than it wants to be.
Month Two: Opening to the Conversation
Learning to listen, follow clues, notice what keeps returning and allow the work to become a living conversation.
Month Three: Aliveness and Trust
Recognising what feels alive, staying with uncertainty and learning to trust your own response more deeply.
The programme is intentionally spacious, with time between live calls to paint, integrate, reflect and let life happen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is The Intuitive Artist 12 weeks, isn’t that a big commitment?
The twelve weeks is the container, not the workload. The programme moves in a spacious two-week rhythm, with time to paint, reflect, experiment and let things settle. You are not expected to be constantly working or keeping up with a packed course schedule. Twelve weeks gives you something a short course cannot: time to meet your habits more than once, make different choices, return after getting stuck and begin trusting your own responses more consistently.
What times are the LIVE CALLS?
The Live Calls will be held fortnightly and recorded for replay. And to cater for all participants around the world, we will be holding 2 calls on the day - one in the morning which will cater to US/Canada timezones and one in the afternoon which will cater to UK/Europe timezones. These will be an added bonus to the Australia and New Zealand participants as they will be able to choose either or attend both!
How much time will I need and what if I fall behind?
There is no fixed number of hours you must complete each week and no expectation that you move through the programme perfectly. Some weeks you may paint more; other weeks your practice may be smaller. All six live calls are recorded, and you will have access to the programme material until 30 June 2027. If life gets busy, you can return when you are able. The practice is built around returning, not keeping pace.
What is The Six Canvas Practice?
Each month you begin with six canvases, boards or painting surfaces and return to those same six again and again — layering, changing, disrupting, responding and staying with the work as it moves. Because these paintings are not being created for any outcome, you begin to notice where you grip, control, tidy, hesitate or try to make the painting “good” too soon. You can still create other paintings alongside the practice.
Do I need to be an experienced artist?
You do not need formal art training or years of painting experience. You do need some familiarity with using paint independently and a willingness to explore without step-by-step instructions. The Intuitive Artist is not a traditional technique-based painting course. The focus is on becoming more aware of your own responses, recognising when fear or judgement take over and developing greater trust in the decisions that are yours to make.

Yes, you can pay in full $2,200 AUD
or you can choose 4 monthly payments of $550 AUD.
About DENI
I have been painting, teaching and mentoring women artists for more than twenty years. During that time I have watched artists become more confident, courageous and connected to their own way of working — not because they learnt another technique, but because they learnt to trust themselves.
My own practice is rooted in the same questions: what happens when we become careful, reach for control or fear ruining what is working?
My role inside The Intuitive Artist is not to give you a formula for how your paintings should look. It is to help you recognise your own responses, take braver creative risks and strengthen the visual language already emerging through you.
