Bali Art Retreat | 7–13 July 2026
Quiet part of Bali | Small and intimate group
Away from pace.
Away from holding everything together.
Into a slower rhythm, where painting comes from intuition, inner language, and lived experience.
WHO
THIS RETREAT
IS FOR
You may have been creating for years, or you may be returning to it in a more committed way.
What feels clear is a growing sense that what you want to make now needs more space.
You sense you’re at a crossroads. You’ve outgrown how you’ve been creating, and you’re ready for a way of painting that feels more honest, more real, more free.
This retreat is for women artists who feel this pull, who know they need time away from their life, space to listen inwardly, guidance to step into it, and time to paint the days away.

Creatively, this retreat is grounded in abstract expressionism and in learning to paint from within rather than from habit, expectation, or what feels acceptable.
It is especially for women who sense an inner voice in their painting that keeps getting softened, tidied, or edited away. The part of you that wants to be bolder, more honest, and more alive.
We paint not to make something “good”, but to discover something true.
THE
CREATIVE
FOCUS
HOW I WORK
Painting from the inside out
I guide artists to paint from intuition and inner language, rather than habit, expectation, or outcome.
A central part of how I teach is by painting alongside you.
I work in front of the group, openly and honestly, so you can see how freedom, risk, and listening move through the body and into the work.
My role is not to impose a style or tell you what your work should be.
It’s to notice what’s already present, name what’s being held back, and help you trust what wants to come through.
I work closely and attentively, offering clear guidance when it’s needed and space when it’s not. The focus is always on honesty, depth, and freedom in the work.

WHY BALI MATTERS
This retreat is held in a quiet part of Bali, surrounded by rice paddies and a slower rhythm of life. We’ll be based at Floating Leaf, an eco-retreat set among the paddies, chosen for its simplicity, care, and sense of calm.
Bali offers a real break from the usual grind. A chance to step out of everyday demands and into a place where painting can take up more space.
It’s an escape into a different pace and a different way of creating.
THE CONTAINER
The group and the experience
This is a small, carefully held retreat.
I’ve been bringing women together in creative and reflective spaces for many years, and I’m attentive to how a group is formed and guided.
Over the days, the group deepens naturally. Shared meals, time in the studio, and unhurried moments together create a sense of trust and ease. A quiet closeness often develops. One that comes from spending time together, making work, and listening with attention.
The container supports both individual focus and shared experience, allowing connection to unfold in its own way.
