Did you know the egg that created you was inside your mother’s womb when she was inside your grandmother’s womb?

As someone who never had a grandparent alive in my lifetime, it is something I have held on to - this physical link with my grandmother.

This painting was inspired by a shamanic healing journey I experienced where I was surrounded by my matriarchal lineage. I stared into the faces of all the women who came before me. It was incredibly beautiful emotional and layered. And felt as real as if they were sitting in the room with me.
